Botox works to minimize muscle movements that cause wrinkles and lines. By minimizing these repetitive motions, we can soften and prevent lines and wrinkles. The most common treatment areas include frown lines, crows feet and forehead lines.

Botox injections are the most commonly performed cosmetic procedure used to reduce or eliminate the appearance of facial wrinkles through minimally invasive injections. Botox Cosmetic injections are made from Botulinum Toxin A, a therapeutic muscle-relaxing agent approved by the FDA for several different uses. When injected into the skin, it can block the nerve muscles that are responsible for the repetitive actions that cause fine lines and wrinkles, smoothing them away for a younger and more refreshed appearance.
CROW’S FEET | SQUINTING WRINKLES
The continued contraction of the muscles around the eyes causing the delicate skin to fold and crease, leaving undesirable wrinkles known as “crow’s feet”. This muscle also causes the eyebrow and upper eyelid skin to “droop” or pull down, especially when smiling. The easiest way to get rid of these wrinkles, lift the eyebrow and help eyes appear more open is with a simple Botox treatment. Within 1 week, your wrinkles will drastically fade. These results will last for 3-4 months.
THE GLABELLA | FROWN LINES | THE 11’S
With as little as one simple treatment patients can enjoy a drastic difference in softening their wrinkles. The 11’s or frown lines are a result of furrowing your eye brows (the glabellar and corrugator muscles). The 11’s is one of the most common treatment areas for Botox injections.
FOREHEAD WRINKLES | HORIZONAL FOREHEAD LINES
Forehead wrinkles are most commonly caused by making frequent expressions, such as raising our eye brows as with a surprised expression. Botox relaxes the frontalis muscles on your forehead which minimizes their movement and thus the wrinkles they create. Some individuals prefer very little movement in this area providing a very smooth appearance, while others like to be able to maintain some level of expression; whichever your preference, Megan Augustus, NP has the skills to meet your needs.
Lip Augmentations can be performed to increase the size of the lip for patients whose lips have lost volume with age, or who are unhappy with the natural appearance of their lips. Megan Augustus, NP-C uses Juvéderm Ultra to not only enhance the size of the lips but to also help “re-shape” and define the lips.
Cheek augmentation is a cosmetic procedure that attempts to reshape a person’s facial topography into a more visually aesthetic form. Megan Augustus, NP-C uses Juvéderm Ultra Plus and Juvéderm Voluma to enhance the natural contour of the cheeks. Often times we experience facial volume loss due to changes in weight or as a natural part of the aging process. By restoring the pronunciation of your cheekbones, you can redefine your facial features to turn back the clock and appear more rested and refreshed.
Fine Lines / Smile creases / Smoker’s lines
Peri-oral wrinkles and fine lines can be filled with a “smoothing” filler injected superficially. Megan Augustus, NP-C uses Juvéderm Volbella to smooth peri-oral lines. We like to call this filler the wrinkle eraser because it doesn’t “plump”, instead it smooths those pesky lines away!
Other popular areas that filler can be used include:
Chin & Jawline
